The Little Red Hen: A Play for Kids
It's showtime! Get your friends together and have a blast performing this lighthearted play written especially for elementary aged kids. This book includes the script, prop and costume suggestions, three simple songs, and even some warm up exercises. For approximately 10 - 25 actors.
The Little Red Hen finds some grains of wheat while scratching in the farmyard. She plans to plant the grain, harvest the wheat, grind the grains into flour, and bake a loaf of bread. Each step of the way she asks her animal friends for help, but they say they are too busy. Finally, when the bread is made, the animals say that they will help eat the bread. But the Little Red Hen has something else in mind.

"For teachers who want to do a play with their class but are perhaps not sure where to begin, the Showbiz series are a great place! There are notes in the books on costume, prop and scenery ideas, warm-up activities to do with your class to help them learn about acting, there are songs written ready for you to use, and of course the play itself!"
